Something to think about

In the early 1900's when modernization was first starting a few men got extremely rich. And with this power they started building railroads steel mills coal mines. At first people were glad to work at these places steady money and a better life for their families. Then the men with the money realized they had all the power so they could pay what they wanted not what was fair.And to boot they would open a company store and all the worker would have to buy their food and clothes there. So they would get all their money back when they marked up the goods from the store to a unfair price So the worker would be working for nothing. That is basically what happened..Then you have riots and the forming of labor unions to battle the greed of the republican industrialist. These are well documented facts.Now what we have is a different kind of oppression you don't see your exploiter. He is not in the office you work at he is in New York or London or Berlin or Hong Kong. They used to bring Chinese over here to build railroads now they just send the job to China. If they can't get it done cheap over here. But we have minimum wage to keep people from being exploited ((right)) Most people in this country now work by the contract. That way no benefits no insurance no retirement And as long as you work your ass off you can make a living..Don't get sick and don't get old or you are shit out of luck. The other way go to work for a big company and right before you get ready to retire they fire you. You lose all your benefits. This is the new America. The rich republicans are doing what they have always done. Instead of goons with guns and bats. Its just loop holes they put in the laws that allow them to do business this way. Maximum profits for them. No social conscience.
 And the company store Walmart yes they are putting all the small retailers out. and before long you will have no chose Then they can charge what ever they won't. Just like the company stores of old.
People are sheep they do what they are told.. They are taught that from the time they are little kids to do what you are told. This is a world wide problem and will have to be addressed before mankind can make any progress. Communism was Europe's answer in the 1900's even tho theoretically it makes sense in does not work in the real world. Because the thing it is suppose to get rid of greed is what destroys it. Greed and power destroyed Communism..We have to get away from money I know that is so hard because everyone thinks they are going to make it. Be rich and powerful and they do not want to do away with that vehicle. They could win the lottery..Or be a famous sports star  Or a rock star They use these dreams to keep you working. And playing their game...Make no mistake the pie is just so big and they will take every one's piece..If we let them.....      ((One mans Opinion))
                 

Long or short

The problem with the on going debate over the length of the putter shaft is a mute one. People kill people not guns. People make putts not putters. This is not rocket science. Its common sense. Not years of fooling people in to thinking you have to have a perfect swing to play  this game. It takes about two months to learn to hit a golf ball then the rest of your life to forget it and just do it..Golf is the most over coached game on this planet. To many gimmicks and gadgets and people who will tell you any thing for money or a lesson. There are about four guy's on tour that can use a long putter with success the rest use a standard length. You take there long putter away and in a year they will  be right where they are now. Its not the putter its the PLAYER that makes putts. His nerve. His will to win, pay his bills, feed his family these are the factor involved in making putts for a tour pro. And the club players their motivation is what ever they play for. Its not their livelihood.in most cases. So to take the long putter away would be just nothing. It will not change one thing. Just like the grooves did it change anything no.. Just another example of old people afraid of change. Everything evolves or it gets stagnant and dies.. That is what you should be afraid of. And lets face it golf is putting everyone learns to hit the ball. You can't score if you can't putt. So I think anything that will help people putt better is great for the game. Even though the long putter does not steady your hand or your nerves or keep you from coming up and pushing everything to the right. It would be great if it did but it don;t the same problems you have with the short putter will come out with the long after the two week honeymoon period. Its just like when you by a new driver for two weeks you are a God with it. Then you miss one and start looking and the honeymoon is over back to your old swing. Buy a long putter in a year you will be back to your old one. ha ha There is no magic bullet.. Sorry  One mans Opinion.                       

Baseball Rangers

Well it had to happen when you can't finish someone off you are going to get beat. The Rangers pitching staff are afraid to throw strikes where are the big closers the guy who can strike out 6 or 8 guy's with his power Does Texas not have any of these types of players. You can not win the big games with out them. That being said game 6 was one of the most exciting games I have ever seen. And baseball is a slow boring game the way the pros play it. To much scratching and stepping out and talking it is almost as bad as soccer run around for 4 hours and score one point. Stupid game fix it. Anyway way to go Cardinals talk about coming back from the deeps of defeat never give up not till the fat lady sings hang in there that was a testament to all the old sayings about not quiting...        

Politics

With the elections right around the corner this blog is going to shift gears a start addressing some of the issues and candidates for the 2012 presidential election. I am not going to talk about every little rich boy who is running only the ones who actually have a chance to win as if it mattered to the American public. Most people know big money runs this country and has for ever and it will elect who ever they won't and the people have no say what so ever. That being said it is still a horse race and Joe Publico does care about that. Who doesn't  enjoy a good sporting event or a good race. There is the drama of winners and losers and those like Sarah Palin who went to the party and stayed to long and is now drunk on political power or the allure of  political power Sorry honey it's not going to happen. for you!!!! Rick Perry please someone tell him if his head gets any bigger it will pop. President Perry that sounds like PP to me. Obama can he get reelected? When you can't get one thing done in 4 years I don't think so But hey you have to knock the champ out to win so he does have the advantage...Those are the three that I dislike the most so those are the ones I will talk about the most. And the issues well they don't really matter who ever wins will not do what he says he is going to once the lobbyist tells him he can't do that. Like Obama's health care the insurance companies and the medical profession fixed that.. This is one mans opinion       

NTPGA GOLF

It is coming down to the home stretch and after 7 straight first place finishes Summer is having by far her best year on the links. It started at Hillcrest with a surprise win. A pretty good field of players were on hand for that one. Next was Denver City a tuff course and a good learning experience she got to play with some older girls who had some game.Then up to Plainview for a 91 a really good score for her but not much competition there. Meadowbrook was a nice tournament that is where she meet Ashleigh and her Grandmother and had a fun day.Then it was over to Sundown where I got in to it with one of the other girls dads for cheating. Not a good day but Summer persevered and came out with the win. Over to Leveland for the worst tournament those people over there have never heard of a shotgun start. Everyone has to start at the first tee so that makes for a very long I said longgggg day. O'well they are a lot better at Lubbock C.C. that was by for the smoothest run tournament of the year a beautiful course and friendly nice people. Now all that is left is The Rawls course Texas Techs home and Reese Golf Center our home course. Summer is looking forward to both.  So that is a summery of the season.          

Women's U.S. Open

The U.S.  open is in Colorado Springs and we can't go I am so disappointed we have to much on our plate right now and are unable to get free to go. What a bad deal how often does the U.S. Open come so close to your house. I mean this is a once in a life time event Summer is 14 very impressionable and the big girls are playing with in driving distance. I think going would be one of those memories to last a life time. And she is still young enough to get jazzed up about it. Life is just that way sometimes you can't always get what you want but you try sometime you just mite find you just mite find you get what you need. Yea baby. Or that is what Mick said. For the last two weeks I have been trying to wheel and deal to make this happen but no cigar. So shit happens and life goes on. But no U.S. Open Boo Hoo Booo Hooo............................        

Pro Golf

What is going on here the U.S. Open and not one American in the mix. Where are all the new young players from this country. There are a lot of want to be's but I don't see any that have the whole game to compete in Majors. Tiger Woods dominated for so long I think he created a vacuum. Not in players but in guy's who believe they can win. We have a lot of players but no winners. No scrapers hustlers no players with the shear determination to win they all have there pretty little swings with perfect form and tempo and fold like a cheap lawn chair when the pressure is on. At some point in time you have to forget about your swing and just hit the fricking ball and give your self a chance. Play the game and get off the swing grind. This country is producing players with the best looking swings in the world but they can't play golf under the gun. And on the other side the rest of the world is producing golfer Like this guy Jacobson from Sweden his head is all over the place but he hits the ball where he wants it to go and gives his self a chance to win. Someone needs to tell this to Ricky Fowler and Hunter Mahan and Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson. Quit over  thinking  this shit and go and hit the ball where you want it to go and win some tournaments IE majors. One Mans Opinion
