Pro Golf

What is going on here the U.S. Open and not one American in the mix. Where are all the new young players from this country. There are a lot of want to be's but I don't see any that have the whole game to compete in Majors. Tiger Woods dominated for so long I think he created a vacuum. Not in players but in guy's who believe they can win. We have a lot of players but no winners. No scrapers hustlers no players with the shear determination to win they all have there pretty little swings with perfect form and tempo and fold like a cheap lawn chair when the pressure is on. At some point in time you have to forget about your swing and just hit the fricking ball and give your self a chance. Play the game and get off the swing grind. This country is producing players with the best looking swings in the world but they can't play golf under the gun. And on the other side the rest of the world is producing golfer Like this guy Jacobson from Sweden his head is all over the place but he hits the ball where he wants it to go and gives his self a chance to win. Someone needs to tell this to Ricky Fowler and Hunter Mahan and Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson. Quit over  thinking  this shit and go and hit the ball where you want it to go and win some tournaments IE majors. One Mans Opinion

Workouts

Well now we are settled in to our weekly routine up at 8 in the morning take a 1 mile walk then a 30 minute workout with a weight bar Then Summer shoots 100 jump shots working on her leg muscles and getting the ball over her head. Then its off to the golf course where we chip around the practice green for about a hour then we hit a bucket of balls on the range working on a smooth tempo then it's over to the putting green for about a hour playing 21. By then it's lunch time so we go and eat then we go home and rest during the heat of the day. Then late in the evening we go for another mile walk and shoot 100 more jump shots. O'and Tuesday and Friday's we go swimming in the afternoon Those are the hardest workout days that water is tuff. I am trying to lose 30 pounds and Summer is trying to get in better shape for sports. Golf and Basketball and Volleyball so we are putting out the effort in order to improve It is like I told Summer you have been playing ball for years now the only way to get better is to tune the instrument. That's it,, get in the best shape  you can and that's all you can do. Then you just go play and let the chips fall where they may. Now you can have fun when school starts cause you did everything you could during the off season to get better...

Internet Back On

I finally got my computer back on line my connection was dropping and sometimes I could not get on at all. I have a cable company as a service provider I don't know if that is good or bad. All I know is when it works it's great when it don't work it sucks no in between. It has been a pretty slow week we went to Cross Plains for a few days to see Mel's Dad but besides that we have not done a thing. Summer does not have any golf Tournaments until July and Basketball is about over so it time to go swimming and have a little fun this Summer. Yes be lazy put your feet up take a loud off calm down be somebody. Try and find your center refocus rejuvenate recuperate all the things one does when they have absolutely nothing to do hallelujah brother. Try and find God,, as if he was lost. God don't get lost only people do. That is why we have all these religions trying to steal your soul. People get lost and others try and take advantage of them. So have a good summer and stay away from satanic bible schools. Unless you want to have to see a shrink when you get older cause you did so much bad when you were young. If you think you did bad shit read the story of King David one of Gods favorites. Maybe then you will get a little perspective.. Just because you kill alot of people and have a lot of wives that don't make you all bad.... One Mans Opinion

Sundown Golf

Summer played a tournament in Sundown a little town in west Texas the other day and what a terrible experience. She was paired with a young lady from Frendship a nice Hispanic girl. But her father was out of control the second hole his daughter hit her ball in to a dry spot on the fairway and the directer said to play the ball up in the fairway one club length and down in the rough. So he said well if she drops the ball and takes relief then if she is still in the dry spot then she can take more relief until she moves the ball twenty yards over to a green spot. That is when I said that is a manipulation of the rule and it is going to be 108 today we don't have enough time to get that started. Let them just play. The next think I know the tournament director is talking to me about how I am not suppose to be coaching my daughter. And this little guy from Frendship has called him and said I was coaching and I was not I was just walking and talking to Summer as she played. So I started to walk one shot ahead the way the rules state a spectator is to behave
After a couple of hole Summer tells me this guy is still lining his daughter up. He is not talking to her he gets behind her and when she address the ball she looks back at him and if he steps to the right she correct her stance that way if he steps to the left she correct her swing that way. And apparently the girl does not do good in math because the second hole she shot a 8 and said it was a seven the next she shot a 7 and put down a 6 so there is a pattern developing. That is so sad the girl is not good enough to cheat but she does it anyway. And her father is putting so much pressure on her to play good she has to cheat. If you can't have fun playing golf you can't play golf it's that simple. And when you are a kid come on. This is what is wrong with organized sports.

Golf

After two starts and two wins Summer is doing a great job at her golf. The first tour was at Hillcrest and had a bunch of Frenship girls there not much competition. These girls are nice but they are not athletes so when someone shows up with skills and is a athlete well you get the picture. The course was in great shape considering how dry it has been. It is a country club and has tons of money so not surprising they can afford to water. Anyway it was a great tour. with a good time had by all. Next was Denver City a long drive and early morning but a great tour. and got to see the girls from Andrews they a all really good players one shot a 74 on a hot hard day with slick greens they were fast and a lot of slope. Summer had no competition there so it was a easy day for her. Next week three more tour. we will see if she can make anymore improvements.......Oh she shot a 100 and a 102 respectively.

No More AAU

It finally happened Summer got kicked off the Breeze AAU basketball team. After four long years of putting up with a over bearing coach. It came to a head Sunday at Lubbock High School. In a game for third place they were playing the ICE a team they have never beat and will never beat because they have a great coach.
He attracts the best players from all around town and knows how to get the most out of them. Anyway the problem is Summer is getting her shot over her head like a real basketball player like a boy. She is not pushing the ball like a girl shoots it. Most girls don't have the arm strength to shot the ball like this so they are pushers but all your college and pros players shoot the ball over there head male or female. But for some reason Our coach does not think girls can shot the ball like that. He is one of the guy's who would have girls still playing half court. They are not strong enough to run the whole court. This is just stupid thinking by a narcissistic control freak and we are way ahead getting away from him.  And to add insult to injury he took the girls third place metals and through them in the trash can. You know playing basketball on an AAU team is suppose to be fun first and foremost. When you have little 14 teen and 13 teen year old girls crying over losing a stupid game we have a problem here. Yes we have a big problem so the best thing to do was get away from this guy as fast as we can and don't look back. The ICE team has several girls shooting the ball over their head and their coach is not trying to stop them. To the contrary he encourages better shooting form and know as the girls get bigger they will have to learn to shoot the ball over there heads or they will get every shot blocked. It is real simple you learn to play tall or quit. And to be mad about losing they are not good enough to be mad... They should be having fun.........................That is the reason some people should not be allowed to be coaches... and everyone can see it...
