Caprock Over

Well all you blog monsters I have been away on Christmas Hoildays feeding my face and being lazy but we are back and enjoying the basketball tour. All the area school are here playing in what has become one of the largest tour. of the year anywhere that's right 94 teams this year and three divisions. The red the green and the blue.
 The blue is the big school division and as usual it's Coronado that came out on top beating Monterey in the championship game But Sudan #3 in 1A was the giant killer taking out Frenship #10 in 4A wow what a upset. Shallowater was in this division #8 in 3A but lost to Monterey and Frenship they did not play good
this is a rebuilding year I guess.And the Wall girls did not play well either.They were out of it pretty quick.
The Green division was all Smyer # 1 in 1A  and defending state champions yes as long as Haley Fowler is there they will be the team you have to beat to compete in 1A. Panhandle looked great and so did Sudan
But it's Haley Fowler they can't match up with her and Kenndy Farr a 6'2 ft. post in 1A they are to much for most 1A schools if not all.
The red was the weak division I know Spearman and Idalou would not say that but it was and Spearman came out on top.But they did not play any good teams untill they played Idalou and they are not that good
just a avarage team.
On the boys side Wall won and Idalou won and Estacado won the only game worth watching was Estacado
against Houston Westbury both were defending state champions and they played that way

Christmas Eve.

Well campers here we are again Christmas Eve. Thanks lord for passing me over for another year I am not really sure why I did not do one thing last year just take up space. But sometimes that's all it takes is to be there to talk to people and be supportive of their endeavors. Then you make a difference you change the way someone thinks or acts improving their lives in some little way that is probably more important than any of your own little dreams or projects. It's the insignificant things that turn out to be the most important.
 Anyhow I hope everyone all over the world has a great Holiday season because basicly we are all alike just different cultures and ways of worshiping God WE all want the best for our Families and friends and lives just to live in peace and have a little prosperity so we can enjoy life. I don't think that is to much to ask.
 We could be in some jacked up war where one greedy bastard is trying to steal shit from another greedy bastard and every person living in that area is caught up in the conflict.Like the US is in Afghanistan look if they wanted to take over the world why didn't the US do it after world war two they could have done it with out firing a shot. It's like Mexico the US defeated that country at the turn of the last century then gave it back to them. There feudal system of the super rich who own the land  and the super poor who work the land its no wonder people are leaving that country in droves to get away from oppression  This is not rocket science
just common sence 90 % of the people on this planet want to live peaceful simple lives and 10 % want to steal, cheat and lie and control We need to eliminate those people so the 90 % can be happy. The rich need to die.they are the control freaks.

Caprock Tournament

Yes yes yes it's time for the Caprock Basketball Tour. The holiday Classic with all the top teams from around the south plains and some from other parts of Texas. Like West bury from down in the Houston area.They were so big last year they looked like a pro team. Can't wait to see them this year. And see if Estacado can hang with them. I think it will be a battle.
 On the girls side their are lot of ranked teams our Shallowater girls are 8th in the state in 3A go fillies.
 Wall is 1in 2A ...Friendship is 10th in 4A.....Cooper is 11th in 3A  Estacado is 20th in 3A  Brownwood is 10th in 3A and Sudan is 9th in 1A and that's just the big school division. who ever wins this is going to have to play some great ball. Sorry Coronado it's not a gimme this year.. That is the Blue.....
 Now the Green Division it looks to be set up for a match between  Smyer #3 1A and Panhandle # 6 in the 2A  Trinity is thrown in there at # 15 private school but Smyer is just to much for them I think. Smyer is just so big so fast and so good so long Trinity. And there is not any treats in the middle of the brackets so that's that.
Now in the red Division it's hard to pick there are a lot of small school playing this year hence the two small school divisions red and green this could be Paducah on paper they are ranked #15 and may take it all but Sundown is #22 1A  and I seen them play last year and they have two really good post players that are back this year so who knows. Brownfield is also in this division I don't know why a 3A school is in here but they could be a spoiler. Just like Coronado did Shallowater last year in the Championship a 5A school against a 2A hard to beat the numbers.. Looking forward to a really great tour.me and Summer will be voting on the best teams and the MVP of one of the divisions We are so excited       

World Domination The Movie

I can't believe this a major movie studio is trying to buy the rights to my World Domination plan these idiots they think it is a novel or something. They have no idea it is real. A real plan in motion as we speak not some chicken shit little movie. With pretty boy Brad Pitt playing me the genesis putting all the pieces together  And Angelina Jolee as my sex bot slash housekeeper. Some how they got a copy of the master plan how I am making colon bots to find and exterminate then replace all the important position on this planet. Once in place they will be at my beck and call to do my biding on whatever issue I choose.
 It's like the president of the United States do you think he is human Ha Ha !!!! Please no black man is that smart he is a bot.. Hilary Clinton do you think she is human Ha Ha !!! She catches her husband cheating and does not kill him or get a divorce she is a bot. Now how is Hollywood going to handle something with the scope and complexity that I am doing its impossible The only reason I exposed theses two is they are no longer relevant and will soon be destroyed or re programed to make money on the lecture tour. For all the gullible human who thought they were on the cutting edge of politics. They are on the cutting edge of robotics
and artificial intelligence nothing more. Just an experiment to see how much shit I can shovel down the American peoples throat. mil I am going to join the Republican Party and move my robot operation to China for the cheap labor and Also my new batteries require a lot of ground up humans as a catalyst that is what makes them last so long and there is more of that in China

World Domination 2

Here I am again at my fortress strong hold on the Plains of West Texas trying to decide where I will send my robot army next. Yes they are out there working in the back ground doing the seemingly small tasks that are changing the world a little at a time. I have spent the last 30 years developing these robots to integrate seamlessly in to society you would not know one if you seen it as a matter of fact you would not even know it if you had sex with one. That is how close to human these robots are really sex with a robot is better than it is with a human if you know it is a robot there are know performance issue. It is just one sided satisfaction.
After I gain control one of my projects will be to build a large number of robots for that purpose for people who have trouble with the opposite sex. With the intelligence level of a housewife or gigolo to be house keepers.
 I know what you are thinking why not build a lot of soldier bots and just take over now. Well it cost to much and there would be to much death and destruction. No I have given this a lot of thought and the best way is to slowly take over from within just like Hitler did he took over Germany and didn't fire a shot brilliant to bad he was mad crazy out of his freaking mind. You can't be crazy and be a great leader Stalin tried that. The two do not go together great and crazy. You can not be a crazy paranoid killer and still be a great leader. OK Genghis Khan one in all of recorded history. And the Khan was the only one to breed his self into immortality that is right it is said that he had over ten thousand concubines not so much for pleasure but to impregnate that way who ever came after him could not kill all his children and this would prevent his seed from being exterminated I my self am planing the same mass fertilization of the planet after I am in control but of course I will be using artificial insemination to prevent the spread of disease and to cover a lot more ground. In a hundred years 6 out of ten will be related to me world wide. I think in Asia 10 out of a hundred are related to the Khan. I am going for 6 in 10 world wide that's a big number But hey that's what I am here for Total World Domination My mother told me to have a dream and work everyday to make that dream come true. With out a dream you mite as well be dead. So don't be supprised when we come to your town...


      

Robots Are Coming

That is right my oldest daughter was telling me the other day that some show she was watching said the peak of the US economy and power was between 1960 and 1990 Our country is going down hill and will never be as good as it was then we are doomed. Well after the Civil war they said this country was doomed then and the south would never be the same. They were wrong... During the 1930 the depression years they said this country was doomed and would never be the same again. They were wrong... So to say that those were the glory years of this country is ridiculous.Who ever said that can't see passed the nose on there face.
 For one thing the 60's were not a great time to be alive civil rights drugs low wages a real war with China the counter culture lying to people and ruining there lives. The oppression in this country was unbelievable.
 The 70's our president was a crook and got caught one corrupted bunch after another then the economy went to hell interest rates sored 17 to 20 % prime impossible to get money unemployment over the top We survived on government cheese. One February 1978 I can remember all I had to eat was peanut butter and popcorn for a whole month and no work. And the 80's were about the same it's like someone turns the handle and there is work for a few years then they turn it off. By far the best ten years I ever seen was from 1995 to 2005 now they have turned it off again. But I am getting off point. Here is what I am getting at at the turn of the 1900's the internal combustion engine changed this country hell the whole world power to go and do things that were unthinkable just a few years before. And we road that wave all the way through the 1900's now at the end of the century came the computer. What a break through knowledge is power. And instant on demand knowledge is the most powerful thing to happen to this country since the gasoline engine. If you know how to use it Now what is the next big thing coming that will change human life I believe it is ROBOTS yes my cell phone has more computing power than the first computer I got and that was 10 years age As they get faster and smaller and cheaper and we can develop batteries we will have robots to work for us then the sky is the limit. The sooner we go electric cars the sooner batteries will be invented to make robots practical who ever does that will be the next Bill Gates. How many years and materials did Edison try
before he made a light bulb work it seems easy now but it wasn't then.I think the batteries are already out there but the oil companies will not let them out. And solar the sun puts out so much energy everyday we should be able to use that energy. Oil should just be used as a lubercant  So lets go electric and get the robots here. Really your washing machine dishwasher coffee maker lawnmower these are just a few machines that we use everyday to help us do things now we need that machine that does everything we can do. That will change this world.........That will give us more time to write songs and have sex with each other play games. Focus on being human not on your silly job or money.....       

Red Ant Records

Back in the day me and my good friend Captain Kirk we were partners in a recording business called Red Ant Records brought to you by Couch Potato Productions this was the glory days the 70's  1970's that is Sex drugs and rock and roll no aids no crack cocaine no problems just music everywhere young people having fun not being serious Just out experimenting with life. Not a bunch of Poker faced cock suckers all looking to make a dime looking for the weak calf in the herd that is what we have today.Not back then people didn't have alterior motives most people were up front honest good hard working people not looking for anything but a good time. And if they asked you to hang out that's what they meant. So here is he cast of characters Captain Kirk on lead guitar Me Tomcat on rhythm guitar Dub Newbill on base guitar Micheal on mandolin and fiddle Cole on Drums along with half a dozen others what do you call people who hangout with musicians???? Answer is drummers///// I didn't say percussionist Kirk Couch was a percussionist Cole was a drummer hit them hard and hope your setting the right tempo. You can find a lot of drummers but it is hard to find a good one..
 What really hurt our band and our recording efforts was we never could find a great singer we could all sing but none of us had that over the top great voice and that is really what you need. Or someone with extreme confidence to put on a show that is the most important thing in show business you have to be larger than life
The voice is not near as important as the personality. This does not translate to the recording side of it but the live performance it really does there. It is like the Ramones terrible records great live performance and true originals. Then there comes that point in time when you say am I going to live this bohemian life style forever or is it time to grow up and get a real job. I was talking to a friend of mine over at a club called Belly's one night a guy named Donny Allison and he was talking about how all these know bodies he went to high school  with were buying nice houses and cars and having kids and he was still playing in the bars starving to death pushing 30 sleeping with a different girl every night it is not exciting after a while it's just routine. And the places and faces all start to look the same. And you really have to be out there for about ten years to understand it with a lot of different bands.Banging your head against that mike stand night after night trying to find your style or sound or whatever will work.So you can sell t-shirts and make money. We didn't know anything about merchandising and promotion we though if we could get a record deal they would take care of all that.So stupid o'well


  

World Domination

As I sit here at my fortress strong hold on the plains of West Texas contemplating my next move for world domination It occurs to me that destroying the banking industry and stock market will only expose a certain side of the economy. Then I will be forced to go after the black markets and all other forms of commerce to totally disable the government and all other institutions that operate non-profit and for profit resulting in a total
panic that could leave a lot of people hurt this is not my intention I do not want to hurt anyone I just want complete control over everyone all the time I do not think this is to much to ask. The world is in a unbelievable mess and I am the only one capable of fixing it so I am compelled to take over and straighten things out. I know I know people say I have illusions of grandeur and so what someone has to I mean just look at history when the world starts getting out of control there has always been someone to step in and take over usually by killing everyone who gets in his way. The Pharaoh of Egypt, Persia, Alexander the Great, Roma, Genghis Khan, The European Powers and the United States now its time for Tom Terrific yes it is my turn. Why can't I be the one dancing in the Sun cutting off people heads not everybody just the ones I don't like or the ones who deserve it  Some people say I am jumping the gun here but I don't think so I have been very patience Most Conquers do it in there twenties or thirty's when they are young and ruthless as you get older and wiser you are not so inclined to feats of barbarism I mean what is the number of people you can kill and still be saved a thousand ten thousand a million when you are young you don't give a shit because you don't believe that shit anyway As you get older and your mortality becomes more certain then you think of hedging your bet so you are not so barbaric.That's why in my mid fifties I believe I am at the perfect age to rule the whole world I am old enough to know there is a God but still young enough to kill large numbers of people with out remorse and I could conceivably live another fifty years so there would be a period of stability that the whole world would appreciate. This is not written in stone yet but almost I have been systematically taking control for the past ten years and I will soon administer the cooed De gr-aw. Then it will begin the period of history I like to call IN TOM WE TRUST a new age is upon us. A new day a new life and I am feeling good. 

Basketball Cooper

Last night the 7th and 8th grade girls from Shallowater went to Cooper to play basketball we were told they had really good teams and it would be a challenge and the scouting report was right they had some real good players and they played as a team for the most part.
 Our 7th grade team is just that a team they are small not physical they don't look that impressive but they just keep winning they are unselfish and pass the ball to each other as good as any team of girls I have ever seen
Cooper looked bigger stronger and faster but they were not as good a team. Morgan Bennett ran the show at point guard making nice pass after nice pass penetrate and dish always hitting the back door man who was wide open. Then Brandy Gillette played her usual steady game passing and ball handling she is a pure shooter she has the most effortless release I have ever seen. Candice Pope played her fiery brand of ball nonstop defense attack attack attack. Kellen played great down low she is a force in the middle and will soon be a force out side. Shotts is turning into a real post player. There are many more girls I could brag about but I will stop it here and just say great game girls 45 to 18  final score.

Now the 8th grade was not so easy yes Cooper has a real good 8th grade team. The girls have played them a few times last year at Tri-County  and back in the Summer and have never lost to them but they were always good games. I really wished our girls could pass the ball like the 7th grade team does. But what we have is some girls are trying to make an impression on the coaches so they can move up next year to Varsity
so they don't pass the ball to the girls they feel like they are in competition with. It is hurting our team this year
And the fact that our Head Coach always moves up a freshman to varsity and there is only room for one
So the competition is fierce. Anyway here is the game It was neck in neck the first quarter then in the second Cooper went to there bench and got exposed that is right Summer Pearson and Alyssa Johnson trapped and pressed and stole the ball and got a 8 point lead that just broke Coopers will. They were playing catchup
the rest of the game out of control and out of luck. Summer Pearson played one of her better games 10 points but more important than that when you put her a post player on there fastest and best point guard and she shouts her down the whole second half. That was outstanding. Kelsey Smith played her usual steady game. Shelby did her job down low rebounding and making put backs.Hannah played a good game. Carly got into it a few times and let the other team know they were going to take this game.Alyssa came off the bench and played some great defense.The two Macy's came off the bench and scored points.Tatum was sick but she came to watch.
 I was disappointed that Hannah Sampley did not get to play for Cooper she use to live here then moved over there last year and rode the bench the whole game   Her father was not happy but what are you going to do He should be happy she is on the A-team It is hard to move to a new school and fit in and play the first year. Anyway final score 39 to 30 Great game girls...


 

Bad Day

Yesterday I was feeling good and wishing I was back on the coast sailing however today is another thing I am sore can barely move my muscles and joints are stiff so sailing is out of the question. This health problem
I have is making me jump between my old self Gung Ho lets go get it done give no quarter to my new self  Couch Potato Some times I am stuck in the middle. But not today.... Today is the shits I can hardly move it is very depressing Luckily Summer has a Basketball game tonight and that always picks me up and makes me feel better for awhile. Nothing to do today but watch the world go by kinda like my friend in Wisconsin she is always down in the dumps sad I think she needs medication and so do I its just all the side effects It is not worth the trouble the only meds that work for mood altering are against the law. Like medical Marijuana it works but is to much of a hassle to mess with. Then there is the whole smoke deal I hate smoking. Tobacco is a great mood altering drug that is why so many people use it but lung cancer and not being able to breath are huge draw backs if you have ever watched someone waste away from emphysema someone you loved you understand smoking is a killer. So how do we cope with this money driven go go go society we live in Alcohol there is a drug a lot of people use but it has to many side effects to and prolonged use is devastating to your body and brain. So I don't know why I started this today I did not feel like saying anything and as I reread this I realize I didn't..............

Need Money

Its another boring Sunday not much to do I feel like begging yes begging I need money I am not able to achieve some of the most basic goals one needs in there life. Yes I would like a new sailboat to sail the gulf this summer A monthly allowance of say 7000,00 for necessity's a little bungalow down on the coast nothing to Fancy just a couple of 1000 square feet with a dock to store my sailboat And to serve as a jumping of point
to rest up and plan my next journey around the Caribbean I will be writing my blog so a new laptop would be in order and some female company because my wife hates the water she is afraid of it. So she will not be a part of this stage of my life I will miss her but you stay in one place to long and you start to rust and then die
And I am not ready for either So if you have any extra money that you are not using please feel free to send it to me so I can live a happy and full life experiencing all I can. By the way there are some really great golf courses in the Islands and I for one would love to play them before I get to old.
 It says in the Bible ask and you shall receive so I am asking just waiting to receive. I am not asking for much just enough to be comfortable.This is also a test of the power of the lord which I am a firm believer. So I am packing my bags now in preparation of the flood of money that will soon be piling up in my mail box.
And I will be able to shake this little town off and move to a place more suitable to a man of my tastes.

Will

I was talking to a guy the other night before our basketball game and another man asked a question would you rather have tall players or smaller ball handlers and he replied ball handlers for sure big tall players that are awkward don't make good basketball players small quick players always are better. Now this man has been coaching basketball for a long time and has had good teams and not so good teams so there is a lot of sense in what he is saying however for my money I want a little of both tall players to rebound and shoot and ball handlers to move it around and set things up but most of all I want players with the will to win.
Everybody wants to win but some people just take it on themselves that they are going to do the things it takes to get it done. These are the people who win game win championships win all the little battles in every game run faster jump higher are more aggressive more determined hustle more rebounds more shots the game is on the line they want the ball no fear missing never enters there mind. These are the players you want on your team I am fortunate this year in that I have three of these players on my team. One has all the skills in the world a great ball handler shooter fast tall she has it all and the will to go with it. Next is a player with limited skills almost none but with shear will she is a great player. Then there is an under age player with no skills but pure hustle she makes an impact in every game. Because she simply wants to play. Give me a team of those players everytime I like my chances. Even if we don't win they will be trying and getting better.....
Heart will power what ever you want to call it that is what seperates players from everyone else..

Sailing

Sailing in the gulf of Mexico is one of the most enlightening experiences a person can do. As you look out across that endless horizon of water the first thing that hits your brain is this is total freedom there is no boundaries you can go any where in the world from here just a clear path to anywhere if you are not afraid
and if you are prepared and smart and resourceful .
 You can sail from Houston Tx. to Key West Fl. in about a week with good weather now you can get there
a lot faster by plane or car but its not the same. The man who buys a motor boat wants to get somewhere the man who buys a sailboat is already there. Once you get old enough to realize life is the journey its not where your going its what road did you take to get there that's what is important.Who are the people around you are they the people you love and that love you. There is nothing more important than that. This life we live with all the phones and computers and TVs and radio and all the other noise. We never hear our own heart beat or breath we miss so much and become so desensitized because of all the ambient noise around us. The sound of the ocean and the brightness of the stars in the night skies on the pitch black waters will bring you back to another place and time
when you were young and could feel with all your senses. Walking in a field playing in a park just you and the
sounds of nature.You could hear the birds singing the bees buzzing the small animals barking and squeaking.
That's what going sailing in the ocean will do tune you back in to the real world. Not a course that's just a big ship full of noise no a small 50 ft sailboat so you can feel the ocean no smaller than 50 ft. you don't want to go in open water in anything smaller that is to dangerous. This will change your perspective and put you back
on track as far a who you are and what is your place in this world. Some people go camping in the mountains
some go fishing at lakes any place to get away.But the ocean is the ultimate because of the fear factor yes when you get out on the ocean you are out of your element and you are afraid that heightens your senses your food tastes better the air you breath is fresher everything is better. So if you get a chance go sailing.
By all means go and get back in touch with your self.

MOB Basketball game 4

Last nights game was the easiest one yet the girls were in control the whole time and were not pushed in any way. The Cougars looked like a good team size wise and they had some ball handlers but not many shooters and not much determination or will to win.
So here is how it went Margaret was high scores as usual 16 points she played a very solid game a little better in the 4th quarter when the other team got tired. In the third they went to a zone and our isolation play did not work we tried to overload but they stayed in their defence and stopped us. We don't have enough ball handlers to whip the ball around and attack the zone from the back door so this is a problem we will have to work on next practice. Kalie stepped up this game and took second place scoring with 12 points that was
great for her and out of no where in the 2 quarter when Margaret was on the bench she made 10 of her 12 giving us a big lead. It was shear will and determination what the other team lacked Kalie had double.
Cat or Catherine is becoming our defencive player she is fast and gets in real good position to stop the ball.
Darby did her job ball handling and playing good defence. We need her to shoot the ball.
Paige play a good game good defence and she needs to shoot the ball
Taylor is getting better every game she just needs to relax.
Caryl played good she just needs to relax.
Jamie played a good game needs to slow down and focus.
Cassidee played a good game she blocked a shot very good
Paloma did not show up and didn't call 
It is nice to be undefeated after 4 games. And the girls get all the credit they are the ones out there winning these games.

Couch Potato

Have no beer Couch Potato is here Yes that world famous super hero Master of the couch, recliner and all other living room furniture. He is a real spud able to with stand large amounts of heat without getting soft.
All ways finding just the right amount of change under the cushions to handle any money problems.
Every woman's dream mate cold beer in one hand newspapers strode about scratching and burping at just the precise moments. A well in formed intellectual masquerading as a boob incogneto to insure he always
 upstages the competition James Bond would come in a distant second to this super spy. Superman would be left in the dust behind Couch Potato. It's all in the credo Don't worry about the little shit and its all little shit.
 That pretty much takes care of all the problems of the world. You live you die its over that's it. Its all little shit know matter how important you think you are you are not your just little shit. One little ant on a planet of 5 billion if you had a brain maybe you could under stand how insignificant your life is to this planet most if not all can not grasp that number. But one can yes out of the darkness comes Couch Potato yes with a brain large enough to understand He is all head and he is all brain he is not a turkey drowning in the rain.

MOB Basketball

Well we played our third game Sat. It was a close one I thought the wolfpack would be an easy team but it was not the case They played very good ball and were in it till the very end.For some reason our girls were a little antsy and didn't wait on the screens and rushed every shot in the first half. I thought for sure they would settle down and play better in the second half and they did with two minutes left in the game. Their shots finally started going in.Game summary Margaret was our leading scorer as usual 14 points Also she still played a great game and played defence solid. Darby played good she just needs to let her shot go more. She is a really good shooter she just needs to stop thinking about missing. You are going to miss more than you make.Kalie carded another great game because of her toughness rebounds steals aggressive defence she is our force down low. Taylor and Caryl played good at post. Jamie Cassidee Paloma all did their part at guard and played a good game. I know this is just our third game and we will meet some good teams and have some tough battles but as long as the girls can stay positive and upbeat I think we will have a good season

MOB

We played our second game last night and got another win I don't know how but these girls are really good listeners that is the key to everything Most people if you tell them something it goes in one ear and out the other. These girls are starting to pass the ball and play as a team after two games unbelievable. It was not much of a contest the final score was Spartans 33 Lobos 14. Our number one player Margaret made 21
points but the key was Darby our number two she didn't score any points however she came in the second
quarter and controlled the ball and the game and didn't let the other team back in the game when Margaret had to set down the whole second quarter Mob rules. Kalie stepped up as a post and scored 8 points off the rebound and some very good passing from girls like Catherine, Paige and Darby.
Catherine also played some great defence Summer told me two times on the way home what a good job she
did stopping the ball.
I had a little time to work one on one with Taylor before the game on her shot and it really payed off she was able to make a basket her first ever I think.
Cassidee also made a basket Paloma and Caryl and Jamie played hard. Unlike the last game this was more of a team effort. And I am hoping that will be the trend that they start to play more and more as a team.
There is nothing more rewarding than working with people who are motivated to do the same thing you are
 It is quite stimulating

How to swing a Golf Club

Now you would think it is easy to swing a golf club you just grab it and swing. Unfortunately that is not the case maybe 50 years ago you could get away with that however with today stellar athletes and coaches and sports physiologist. You have to have a correct golf swing to be able to move the ball far enough to compete.
 So most men or boys whatever the case maybe usually start in this country playing baseball and you are thought to swing the bat with you arms its all upper body now that's fine for that game but not for golf.
 In golf you are trying to move the ball to a specific spot or target and the ball is not moving so you can take your time and be very precise and in so doing you can think about weight transfer witch is the key to being able to move the ball far.
 There are three problems that plague the average golfer 1. ((Jerking off the ball)) 2. ((A violent transition at the top)) 3 (( Not clearing your hips))
 Here are some drill and thoughts to help fix this shit a lot of this stuff I did not come up with I got most from playing with people over the years. The simplest way to explain it is ((((Lag and Drag Babe)))) that is right
don't try and hit the ball drag the club through it.. How do you do that??? Well we will get to that .
 1.Jerking off the ball that is when you get your club way ahead of your body turn.Start your swing with a little forward press just tilt your hands slightly forward that is the key to engage your left shoulder  your left shoulder moves the club head.. Let the weight of the club head set your wrists at the top that's the LAG. Relax your hands arms and shoulders they only hold the club you are not going to hit the ball with your arms and shoulders ever again. Its not a bat its a whip think of putting all your weight into the head of the club.
2.When you get to the top and you are in the LAG and the weight of the club head is setting your wrist there is a half a second pause now fire your lower body. Don't throw the club from the top with your arms and shoulders trying to kill the ball like you have always done. This is where you come over the top and hit all those slices to the right you cast the club like a fishing pole Start your swing with your hips and legs that's right move the ball with your legs your big muscles.
3.Now clear your hips get to your left side you don't hit the ball out in front of you any more you drop the club into the slot or pocket and DRAG the club through the ball with all your weight being transferred to the club head and ball You almost have to look over your right shoulder to see the club hit the ball. I know all you baseball players are going crazy thinking that won't work well let me tell you it's the only way it does work
next time its cold and windy and you are watching golf on TV really watch how the pros are swinging and you will see it especially when they do the slow motion footage this is what they all do at the moment of impact
they have cleared their hips and are pulling the club through the ball with a strong left side Yes hit the ball with your left side you can take your right hand off the club that's right it gets in the way at lest take your right thumb and first finger off the club put all the work on the left side.It makes it easier to release the club head
Lets don't forget a strong routine SEE IT. Get behind the ball line it up pick your target pick an intermediate target Then you say I am going to hit the ball right there FEEL IT Now take one or two practice swings feel the shot Then you say to your self I am going to hit the ball right there.Say it out loud it don't count if you don't say it out loud. MAKE IT That's right make it happen its no big deal just hit the little ball to the spot your looking at. You take one last look and you say I am going to hit the ball right there out loud. When you get on the golf course you have one thought I AM GOING TO HIT THE BALL RIGHT THERE every time
if you are thinking of something else you are getting in your own way mentally and know golf swing in the world can help you If you can't focus on that one simple task I AM GOING TO HIT THE BALL RIGHT THERE.. Oh and have fun playing...

Bad Thinking

When you start thinking about out come instead of what you are doing that's when you get in trouble. You can't try to be the MVP of the game or the season or the league. You just play the game and be relaxed and have fun. If you are thinking of all this other stuff you are thinking you self right out of it. Your brain can only work so fast so don't clog it up with a bunch of thoughts that don't pertain to the task at hand. This is real common for golfers it is call swing grind they try and make the perfect swing thinking that will make them play better but it don't they always play worst. Because the task at hand is to hit the ball to a spot or a target however you want to look at it. And some of the best golfers of all time had terrible swings but they hit the ball where they wanted it to go and in so doing shot really low scores and won a lot of money.Here in lies the secret its not the biggest the strongest or the smartest who win at sports. It the one who is the calmest. That is right. Control of your nerves and break everything down to it simplest form and focus on that and you will win way more than you lose. Play the game like a kid have fun try new shots make new moves smile. This is a game this is not life and death. And when you are young don't put all your eggs in one basket. Do a lot of different things to find the one you are good at

Now people who sin in the flesh they don't go to church their to ashamed but not the crooks and the thieves they are the ones who fill up the pews.Donating their money to pay for their sins. But its the same dirty money they stole and cheated for all week. Do you think God needs your money much less your dirty money ? A man sells a car for 1000 dollars more than it is worth then he laughs at the man he sells the car to he is so stupid to pay that much for that car Who is really stupid?? Who is trading their soul for the love of money. Money is evil and you have to be careful with it or it will consume you.Money is a dangerous instrument it is power and power corrupts
 When you are young you have a strong soul you see clear you believe deeply you want to make a difference in this world. As you get older the world beats you down with greed and money and shady deals for profit.
Each time weakening your soul until you have no soul left all you have is the desire to make that deal where you make the money. I knew an old man me and him were partners in the car business. Now he would buy and sell anything to make money so he bought this mobile home for 5000.00 dollars about four months later he sold it for 10,000.00. dollars doubled his money. He was happy one afternoon then it was on to something else. He worried and worried about losing money on that trailer everyday we got to sell that trailer.Then one day he soled it and made money and he still didn't enjoy it.He felt more alive worrying about losing money than he did about making it that was the only reason he didn't retire he had nothing to live for but the love of money.He was a sad old man...and once he knew he was going to die he tried to run from death. I have seen this many times an old man starts moving back to the places of his youth to try and get away from death. He was afraid of death I think he lost his soul for the love of money.It is great to worship God but be careful in these corrupt churches the people that are there can lead you the wrong way..

 

Football High

Well the Muleshoe mules had another great season this year but unfortunately they had to move up in class and hit a Wall in the process that's right a small town south of San Angelo. Wall is a town that has a program
unlike most schools they just wait every ten to twenty years and then they have a class of kids that can play and have size. Wall player are standing on the backs of the players from 10 years ago yes they are pushed and praised to the point they believe they are better than everybody else And it works because they play that way. It is also conditioning they start at a young age getting these kids ready to play basketball. And they always have great basketball teams boys and girls.And that training transfers over to make really good football players speed and ball handling skills are what you have to have to play both games. And if you start working with the kids young they will have skills.
 It's like Shallowater they start these kids playing basketball when they are in the first grade and by the time they graduate they can play some ball. Specially the girls they don't have all the distractions the boys have  Hunting Motorcycles football baseball and everything else you can think of sports wise its basketball or you are know body. I had a man come up to me the other night and he said if your kid don't make the A-team in basketball you are not nobody at Shallowater. And that is right but it is also that way at Idalou in football
every little town has there thing.
 And what happened to the Paducah Dragons they had a great season until last night. Oh well I for one am glad the football season is coming to a end and hoping no more young men get hurt. This game does produce
way to many injures and some catastrophic. So the sooner its over the better. Just a few more weeks and it will all be over and we can get down to the real fun that is basketball. The big Caprock Tournament is right around the corner. Some of the best basketball in the state will be played right here in Lubbock Tx.that week. So come on down.

Kitchen Help

I am sitting here in the kitchen watching my wife as she scurrys around cooking our thanksgiving dinner
what a fiasco get out of my way do this don;t do that are you just going to sit there or are you going help

black Friday say it again black Friday I am a man and black Friday don't mean jack to me but women this is one of their holiest day of the year shop till you drop and then  don't stop just keep going find those deals those bargains spend spend spend I am saving so much money. MOB Basketball

 Our first game was last night and it was exciting 40 to 37 final score. The first quarter we were a head 10 to 6. Now for some back round Mob rules all players must play one full quarter in the first half ok that is simple
but if you don't have 10 players then the coach from the other team get to pick who plays the second quarter with the players that didn't play the first. So our best player Margaret had to set out the second quarter and we had no ball handlers the two girls I held back to do the job got nerves and chocked the other team took the lead 22 to 10 and three of our  girls fouled out in the second quarter.
  The reefers were young lady's and they called every foul I mean every foul now to their credit they were all good calls but these are 5th and 6th grade girls and if you do that the referees did not let the girls play the game it had no rhythm or flow and it took two hours. I understand this is probable some of the first game they have worked and they won't to do a good job. And in doing so they did a bad job. We had 32 fouls on our team alone we finished the game with four player on the court.
  Back to the game or should I say the Margaret show yes this girl is from a different planet. I told her at half time. Just take your time and play us back in the game don't get in know hurry we have plenty of time. And she did exactly that rebound run the whole court layup after layup the other team could not stop her she scored 36 of our 40 points  At the two minute mark Jamie our smallest player got fouled. In practice she has not been able to get the free throw to the basket so I have been working with her on the granny shoot but that little shit stepped up and made both free throws shooting the ball the right way and gave us the lead. She was so proud of her self and so was I. These girls play with a lot of heart.
 Summer worked the bench great keeping the players that fouled out motivated and in the game explaining the rules and showing them what to look for and what to do when they got back in. I know we are going to lose some games and win some games but last night was a special night.

Food Day

Yes food day is not far away it won't be long till we will be stuffing our faces with Turkey and dressing gravy all kinds of vegetables and pies and cakes and snacks. Glasses of tea and beer and mixed drinks yes every thing you can stick in the hole in the front of your face will be available for consumption. This is a feast to thank God for all the bounty he gives us and the way we waste it by being such pigs and gluttons I am sure God does not give this country such great wealth so we can become great big fat pig people walking around with our fat asses and belly's eating everything we can put in our mouths.
 This holiday was to give thanks for a good year of farming and gathering to have the food to make it though the winter In colonial times a lot of people would starve to death in the winter if they did not put enough food away in storage.
 Now we pervert that tradition with food day yes eat all you can pass out on the couch wake up eat some more. Have a few drinks another piece of pie a little turkey sandwich made out of the dinner rolls those
great big dinner rolls. Yes everything is rich everything is fating everything is so good you can't stop eating it.
 There is nothing wrong with giving thanks for all the blessing in our life's that is a great thing. But is this really the right way to do it. I know it worked in the past with the way the world was then. But is it appropriate for us to have a day of gluttony when their are so many people and country's that have so little. That will be the down fall of this country Greed and the exploitation of our fellow man. Some people think you are smart to exploit uneducated people others think it is EVIL. That is a choice you have to make in your own life and then live with it on your death bed. You see it's not until you get close to dying that your conscience kicks in and you realize how wrong you have lived your life selfish and self centered me me me me . I think I will get another piece of pie.

I am so excited this has been a wonderful week I talked to One of my daughters for the first time.She just turned 16 on Friday the day after my birthday. Me and her mother divorced when she was 2 years old and I haven't been able to see her because of her mother and grandfather playing that you can't see your kids game
Don't get me started on the custody laws in Texas no the enforcement of the laws It's all about support the money not about being a part of your children's lives spending time with them It's about holding the children hostage for revenge on the other parent.You pay the support but you never get to see your kids. All they are doing is hurting the kids making them emotionally dysfunctional anyway that's that.
 I had a little talk on the phone with Megan and she seem like a intelligent young girl with her whole life a head of her She may be trying to grow up to soon but that's a family trait I hope she can find a way to fight
that you don't won't to grow up to soon you need to be a kid as long as you can enjoy being young. Don't make the big mistakes until you can handle them. Or grow up and don't make them at all. It was really great to talk to her I think about her and her sister Sarah all the time Maybe some day I will talk to Sarah and Megan Then they can get to know their sisters Betsy and Summer that would be great. B.B. Practice

 Well today was our first basketball practice with our MOB team I am the coach and Summer is my assistant
  we are trying to give back for all the great coaches Summer has had over the last 6 years And let me tell you it is a lot easier to coach a team that does not have your daughter on it as a player.
 We started with the old layup drill two lines right hand first then left. Then we went to the three person weave working on our passing. After that we did the star drill passing passing passing. I had the girls play a little three on two just to see how they handled the ball. Then I gave them the speech The most important thing in basketball is 1 keep you eye on the ball 2 Protect your self at all times 3 there is no I in team 4 have fun this is a game. 5 Your going to win some your going to lose some and some get rained out.6 don't be to serious don't be scared. Then back to practice and learning to rebound get the ball to the out side lanes and push the ball run the  fast break They tell me the other teams are going to press so we worked on breaking the press and our free throws. After a short meeting with the parents it was over all and all a nice hour. 

Storms

 Windy walks the clouds across.
  Another day to this storm is tossed

Show and Chance

The hardest thing to do in life is to show up it sounds simple but it is half the battle. Be there on time ready to do what ever the task at hand is. And have the appropriate attitude be mentally ready if you are going to be running get your self pumped up if you have to perform precision task calm your self down use your breathing exercises and some sort of music training to control your emotions. Once you tell your brain what you want to do and you go through your pre shot  routine then you have to get out of your way mentally and just do it that is the way to handle pressure. Yes the pressure over the golf ball at the free throw line the pool table the tennis serve the volleyball serve the pitchers mound anytime you have to initiate the action That's when you have time to think and you have time to chock. Sports is like being a musician you practice a task then you find a stage and you put on a show that is right any time you put you self in front of a audience you are putting on a show people want to see how good you can play and the key word here is PLAY .     
  Don't be afraid of adrenaline or nerves embrace the adrenaline learn to play with it that is what elevates your skills to a whole new level you run faster you jump higher your hearing your vision your touch are all sharpened So use that to play your very best.
  The other thing to being a good performer or player is give your self a chance. That's right don't try and make the hero play every time Be steady be controlled put your self in a position to win be consistent Sometimes you have to go for the par 5s in two but you make more birdies and pars laying up whereas you could play your self right out of the round tiring to hard and making a really bad shot. Second pays a whole lot more than tenth It's like playing music don't play the hardest piece you know unless you are playing for musicians otherwise just do something simple that you can play well while making good eye contact with the
crowd and making them part of it. Give your self a chance to be great.. A perfect example of this is a country singer named Willy Nelson he did it so long he became great in his profession

Shallowater Basketball Nov. 8

Just a little this and that about the basketball season here. It is Nov. and the season is just kicking off the 8th grade girls went to Andrews Monday and had a tremendous start beating up on them 66 to 4 I know that sound unbelievable but that was the final score How a 3AAA school of 8th graders can only score 4 points
in a basketball game. I don't know. The 7th graders won also handily.
 Last night we went to the Varsity game the Fillies against Post and it was another blow out 84 to 36 or some thing like that it was not close. The only reason we went was to see Sharon Harkey play she is a freshman who was moved up to varsity this year And we have seen her play all through little dribblers and middle school she is just a real good kid and a very aggressive basketball player. We wanted to see how she played her first game on the big stage of Shallowater Girls Basketball and true to form she played outstanding double digit scoring great defence nice passing from the point guard position an all around great start to what we hope is a great career as a Filly. The other standout was Ashton Elliott the freshman from last year she has the quickest hands I have ever seen she get more steals than any two other players on the team.
 Sara Warren had a excellent performance she was taking the ball to the hoop and finishing like a real seasoned player wait a minute she is a real seasoned player and it showed big time last night. If any one was wondering who was going to fill the spot left open by last years standout player Hailey Burton wonder know more it's Sara Warren. Katie Fowler played her usual solid game nothing fancy just good ball handling and good passing and shooting she is a rock. Brook Hatcher played a good game . Kylee Smith played a good game needs to get the three point shot going I am sure she will start hitting them soon come on girl you got that shot. Rebekah Jones made her varsity debut last night and appears to be the next starting post player she played very good . Westbrook played a good game a few bad passes a few bad fouls but over all  she played OK It's really hard to play post  if you don't have the height. She plays a physical game down low alot of pushing and shoving that will work until you have to play a real post player that is tall they will shoot over you and then you foul out. That is this teams Achilles heal. There post play. They have four post players and they all are good a different parts of the game but none can handle the ball the length of the court.Pounds is a good shot blocker Jones can shoot it down low, Westbrook is a great defensive player. Brawley is a good shooter from 10 foot and in jumpers. So we are just going to have to see how this year turns out
 By the way it does look like coach Darden has put together another great team with all the talent he has to chose from it  must be very hard to decide who's stay on JV and who moves up to Varsity because the JV
could beat the Varsity on the right day that's how good they are..

The Hole in your Soul

  I have a niece but  I will not use her name in this piece because it's personal to say the least. But she called me the other day and was asking me a lot of questions about her mother and father and why she was done the way she was. She was taken away when she was young and put into foster care as a result of an abusive
situation I am not going to go into details because it was along time ago and it is not important to the article.
 Well really it is important it is the whole point of the piece but not the gory details. It's like this in this modern
society we live in everyone has a hole in there soul it's a void inside that they try and fill with something. You
are not pretty enough your not big enough your not smart enough you don't have enough money you have to much money your black your brown your white your insecure you were abused as a child this is one of the
largest holes to fill. Your bald you are to hairy your fat your to skinny you are to good looking something is wrong with you I don't care who you are everyone feels this way sometimes or all the time.
  Now we have all of these substances that alter our state of consciousness and allow us to be happy with ourselves when we are using them and they are Alcohol, Pot, Cocaine, Heroin,Nicotine, Caffeine
Money yes money is one of the substances people abuse to over come filings of inadequacies that is what drives most people to overachieve  yes successful people are real insecure people work and money is there drugs. The population of America is way over drugged because we live in an unnatural life of over worked under payed and constant pressure for more, more, more, and more. The more Monster is on everyone's back telling them you need a bigger house you need a better car you need to move to a bigger city more things there more opportunities. more kids more friends more shit you need more SHIT.
  The problem is none of this stuff makes you happy it does for a few minutes but it don't last unless you are so fucking shallow you truly believe a new car can fill your spiritual needs the hole in your soul and there are people out there who are that shallow. They are like the cat in the yard all they see is the mouse to eat they don't think about taking the mouses life. But for most of us caring people we feel this way at some time or  another and you just have to come to the conclusion you have to be happy with who you are because you can't be someone else and you would not be happy as them either. and if someone tries to put you down they are just showing there insecurity that's right they are so weak they need to feel superior to you so they put you down to build them self's up all they are showing is there weakness feel sorry for that person they have real emotional problems. They could be homosexual this is a big hole I am not good enough for the opposite sex so I will have relationships with my own gender that way if I am rejected I won't care..
  Just be happy in your own skin and realize this is your life and you live it the way you won't and do the best you can and remember being rich and famous just shows how insecure you are and in 50 years nobodies
going to remember who you where. Nothing really matters it's all in vain..so don't take your self to serious..
If you think you are really good at something you are probably not.. If you are constantly working to get better at something then you probably are......

























 
 

Money an Evil Concept

 Money is a interesting concept if you will work like a dog for me all day I will give you this piece of paper and with it you can get food and a roof over your head and alcohol to make the pain go away from working all day and sex with a woman. Then you wake up and do it again the next day and the next and the next and the next.Until your life is over and someone puts your body in the cold dark ground yes that is right the COLD DARK GROUND.
  It use to be that one group of people would capture another and enslave them with more advanced technology swords knifes guns ships whatever gave one side the advantage over the other then they were made to work for these people for ever as slaves. The penalty for losing is death but if we let you live you have to work for us the rest of your life because your life was over when we captured you now your life belongs to us this is the thought process of slavery they were actually doing you a favor sparing your life and making you a slave. Then the exploitation of man over man fell out of favor in the 19th century so they had to develop a new system of slavery. Now money had always been around but very few people had any and most had no need for it they lived off of the land. You can't get someone to do things if they live off the land and are independent and don't need your money. But as the land runs out and there are more and more people then you can't live that way so here comes money and the industrial revolution and economic slavery
Yes we are right back where we started minimum wage, contract labor, piece work, salaries you don't work you don't eat. What is all this work for the human race is on a runaway train of productivity for what make more money to buy more shit you don't need exploit people all over the world so the people in the US can all live like Kings. The human race should be working together for the common good of the Planet not for the few in Washington and London and Tokyo, Berlin, Rome Moscow all the major economic centers of the world. This is mans biggest falling greed and the exploitation of his fellow man. So do you need more money the instrument that has corrupted the whole world.. Plainview Tournament

  Can you say early morning yes 6 o'clock. Today was Summer's last Golf tour. of the year we had to be in Plainview by 8 o'clock for the shotgun start and its an hour drive on the interstate so just to be on the safe side we always leave a little before so if we have any problems we will still make it. We get there just fine no problemos but it is cold then the wind kind of picks up it is just a little uncomfortable not bad if you are moving Summer starts off slow she is jerking off the ball then she starts not rotating her shoulders and getting behind the ball so she is blocking her drives way to the right it does not look like it's going to be a very good day but she hangs in there and wrights the ship starts getting behind it better and hitting some fairways and greens gets some confidence then her putter heats up she drowns a 30 footer for par on a par3
Starts to smile and play golf instead of trying to hit the ball yea it's funny the harder you try to hit the ball the worst it gets but when you let go and just pick a spot or target and shoot the ball at it then you are playing golf and it is fun. I know 112 is not a very good score but for a 13 year old girl it's not bad and when you win the first place metal all those bad shoots just fade in to past and that 30 foot putt she will never forget
Golf is a game of confidence and the more you have the better you do in life.........

Eminem Not afraid

Not Afraid is what I think Eminems come back song. Talking about when he falls into the world of drugs and everything else, that he might or might not need help getting back up on his feet. In his song he says like "Everybody come take my hand, we'll walk this world together through the storms whatever weather." I guess what he is trying to say here is that he wants help sometimes with all the things he goes through in life. When he says a few lyrics later is "So starting today I'm breaking out of this cage." Like i think he is saying that what ever he is going through he is going to be a man and take care of his problems whether he gets help or not. "It was my decision to get clean, I did it for me admittedly I probably did some of it for you so i can come back a brand new me." What Eminem is trying to say is that he is done with drugs. No more rehab and that his family helped him through it.

Paige's Question

 Now you have to understand Paige is my niece and she is just 13 so even though she is very bright she has very little experience in life so when she posted this question on her facebook Page I was impressed with her cleverness at first then as I thought about it her innocence became apparent. Here is the question and her answer. If you were stranded on a desert island what one thing would you take with you???? and her answer was a boat to get of the island. that is clever but then I thought to my self what does the island represent.
 I was standing on a dock in Kemah TX one time with a friend of mine we were just killing time waiting to go  sailing on Galveston Bay it was a beautiful Nov. day not to hot not to cold just perfect so I turned to my friend and asked looking out over the water what does that scene mean to you and with out a moments hesitation
he said freedom this is one of the reasons he and I were such good friend we thought alot a like.
 Well now the island is the same thing it is freedom. No job no money no people no law no responsibility
you live or die off your wits. the last thing you would want is a boat to get off the island.
Civilisation is like a prison you live in your house you go to your job you pay your bills you  have relationships with other people you live you love you die. You are alway preparing for tomorrow so you never live now you are always planing for this for that its never right now lets do it now lets have fun now

We are going to change Roe verses Wade abortion is wrong So all the bible thumpers in the south and the Midwest say that's right killing baby's is wrong we are voting for the reptiles but they never change the law.It's a smoke screen they don't talk about sending jobs overseas or the price of gas or food or health care or anything all the time they are screwing the people they are talking about God. It is a shame poor uneducated people are deceived by men like Ronald Reagen a bad actor who acted like President for eight years and did exactly what he was told by big business the man never had an original thought in his life. That is what big business does they back someone half the country will hate and the other half loves. That way the two parties never get anything done and big business rolls on unchecked. The Problem

 I have not felt like my self for the last couple of years I was tried all the time no energy my muscles were always sore. In the mornings I could barely walk I thought it was because I am getting older over 50 now
well it is just natural to fell this way then I started to swell up my ankles and hand and I gained about fifty pounds I was retaining water then I was real constipated I am thinking shit what is going on here I fell like crap. I was at the golf course playing a rare round of golf and I reached down to get my ball out of the hole and riped the ass out of my pants. I have never been over weight my whole life.
  My daughter Summer had qualified for the tour championship in Dallas in her junior golf league so we load up and drive down there so she can play. Now keep in mind it is August in Texas the temperature is 104 and the humidity is 90 % and we are down there at a Pete Dye course and it is up and down and all over the place it takes 7 hours to play 18 holes my girl drinks 30 bottles of water me and her both are on the verge of a heat stroke. It was a two day tour and I pulled her out the next day because I could not make it.
 After that we came home and I had to go to the hospital I thought I had a heat stroke in Dallas but come to find out I have hypothyroidism and I was deathly ill. At one point I was waking up for a few hours then going back to bed and sleeping all day up a couple of hours then sleeping all night.I was in a dazz I thought I was going to die I just knew I was going to go to sleep and never wake up that's when I went to the hospital
now I feel better but the medicine levothyroxine I am taking makes me feel like shit so I don't know hopefully
someday I will get better if I can find a different medicine that does not make me sick...
